I am a doctoral candidate in philosophy at the University of Colorado Boulder.  I am interested in a variety of issues in ethics and the intersection of moral reasons and rational reasons.  My dissertation is on the topic of moral uncertainty, or what conscientious agents ought to do when they're uncertain what's morally required of them.

I love teaching philosophy, both to undergraduates here at CU, and also to high school students throughout Colorado through an outreach program that I help coordinate.

When I'm not doing philosophy, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters, preferably surrounded by some beautiful scenery (the above photo is of me and my older daughter in Rocky Mountain National Park).
